Strategic Projects Lead Law and Legal
Overview
As a Strategic Projects Lead in Law and Legal, you’ll own end-to-end delivery for AI Lab clients with a focus on legal workflows. You translate client needs into actionable specs, build domain-specific data pipelines, and coordinate Operations and Legal experts to ship high-quality results quickly. You’ll communicate directly with clients and manage a team of Legal domain specialists to keep momentum and clarity throughout projects. This remote, full-time role centers on turning ambiguous requirements into concrete plans and executable steps with tight milestones. Juris Doctor or equivalent legal training is required and you will engage with senior Legal professionals regularly.
What You'll Do8
- 1Define project scope from pipeline framing through delivery and post-launch review
- 2Convert client requests into precise specifications for legal workflows and data processes
- 3Design and iteratively improve domain pipelines for usability, accuracy, and scalability
- 4Coordinate Operations and Legal experts to enable rapid deployment
- 5Set clear milestones and maintain a disciplined execution rhythm
- 6Own client communications with direct, consistent updates and next steps
- 7Oversee Legal and cross-functional leads to assure quality and timely delivery
- 8Provide daily progress updates highlighting blockers and actionable follow-ups
Requirements8
- 1Juris Doctor or an equivalent law degree is required
- 2Minimum 2 years in legal practice, legal research, regulatory/compliance, or a related field
- 3Excellent communication and stakeholder management, especially with attorneys and senior Legal staff
- 4Strong ownership mindset, urgency, and meticulous attention to detail
- 5Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on execution focus in a startup-like setting
- 6At least 2 years leading complex projects, workflows, or legal-related initiatives
- 7Ability to translate vague client requirements into concrete plans and fast execution
- 8Comfort in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment

Salary Insight
The national pay range for this full-time role is base salary 180000–230000 USD; equity and performance bonuses depend on role and company policy. Compensation details are discussed in the interview process.
