Overview

micro1 seeks a Recruitment Ops Manager to run hiring operations from start to finish. You will work remotely but need to be near San Francisco to attend recruiting events every two weeks, possibly weekly. Day to day, you will keep candidate tracking on point, coordinate interviews, and manage all communications. This role blends remote work with in-person networking to build talent pipelines.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Keep daily recruitment operations moving by tracking candidates, sending timely follow-ups, and maintaining hiring momentum.
  • 2Work with hiring managers and candidates to schedule interviews, gather feedback, and close out outstanding tasks.
  • 3Handle all candidate communication, from initial introductions and interview scheduling to updates and follow-ups.
  • 4Update and maintain accurate records of candidate statuses, pipeline stages, and recruiting documents for reporting.
  • 5Assist with standard recruiting tasks like posting jobs, sourcing candidates, reaching out, and conducting initial screens.
  • 6Find ways to improve recruiting workflows, tracking systems, and operational processes.
  • 7Represent the company at San Francisco recruiting events roughly every two weeks, with potential to increase to weekly, turning connections into candidate pipelines.

Requirements8

  • 1Background in operations, talent acquisition, or a related area.
  • 2Basic knowledge of candidate sourcing and recruitment processes.
  • 3Strong self-management skills, particularly for remote work.
  • 4Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders, including hiring managers and candidates.
  • 5Comfort using applicant tracking systems (ATS), CRM tools, and recruitment software.
  • 6Keen eye for detail in candidate recordkeeping and process documentation.
  • 7Capable of handling multiple priorities and shifting demands.
  • 8Located in or near San Francisco to attend regular in-person recruiting events.

Who Should Apply

This role fits someone with operations or talent acquisition experience who can work independently from home and is based in or near San Francisco. You should be comfortable with ATS and CRM tools, and skilled at communicating with hiring managers and candidates. Candidates who struggle with remote self-management or dislike attending in-person events every two weeks will find this challenging. A common reason applicants get rejected is lacking hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems or CRM tools. Another is not being able to demonstrate strong stakeholder communication in previous roles.
