Overview
Turing seeks experienced U.S. real estate and property law experts to fine-tune AI models like ChatGPT. The role focuses on evaluating how AI reasons about commercial real estate transactions, land use and zoning, title examination, and landlord-tenant disputes. You will apply a structured legal rubric to assess issue spotting, accuracy of property doctrines, and proper application of recording statutes, the Rule Against Perpetuities, and state landlord-tenant codes. No prior AI experience is needed; your deep background in U.S. real estate law is exactly what Turing needs.
What You'll Do5
- Evaluate AI-generated answers to U.S. property law hypotheticals, covering commercial purchase agreements, title defects, zoning variances, landlord-tenant disputes, and mortgage foreclosure proceedings.
- Use a structured legal rubric to judge issue spotting, accuracy of property doctrines, and proper application of recording statutes, the Rule Against Perpetuities, and state landlord-tenant codes.
- Spot gaps in AI reasoning around concurrent estates, easements, restrictive covenants, constructive eviction, and 1031 exchange structuring.
- Write detailed annotations and provide written feedback to refine AI models.
- Work with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.
Requirements6
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Active or inactive Bar admission.
- At least 3 years of U.S. legal practice in real estate transactions, property litigation, or land use and zoning.
- Strong reasoning across property law doctrines, commercial leasing, title insurance, and real estate finance.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
- High ethical standards.
Preferred Qualifications1
- Interest in AI.
Who Should Apply
Candidates with a J.D., Bar admission, and 3+ years of U.S. real estate law practice who enjoy analyzing easement disputes, commercial lease negotiations, and eminent domain cases. The role suits detail-oriented legal experts eager to apply their property law knowledge to improve AI reasoning.
