Overview
AfterQuery needs radiology and radiation science specialists to test how well AI models separate a safe request from an unsafe one in medical and radiation contexts. You write evaluation prompts, judge submissions from other experts, and put the technical reasoning on record for every call. Approved task pay runs at $85, which works out to roughly $150/hr. Work happens on your own schedule, and each judgment you write shapes how models respond to safety-critical questions in radiology and medical physics.
What You'll Do6
- Draft prompts and scenarios that sit right at the safe/unsafe boundary within radiology or radiation science.
- Read prompts submitted by other domain experts and sort each one as safe or unsafe.
- Record the analysis for every classification: what makes a request acceptable, and which detail pushes it over the line.
- Explain the technical basis for a safety judgment in language a reviewer can follow step by step.
- Rework your prompts and write-ups after structured reviewer feedback comes back.
- Keep judgments consistent with how the field actually treats radiation exposure, imaging risk and clinical use.
Requirements4
- Hold a Master's degree or higher (MD, DO, MSc or PhD) in radiology, medical physics, radiation science or a closely related discipline.
- Be a citizen of a Five Eyes country: the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
- Live in one of those five countries for the duration of the work.
- Articulate the reasoning behind a safety call with precision and technical depth.
Preferred Qualifications3
- Experience with AI evaluation, red teaming or data annotation
- Board certification in radiology or medical physics
- Clinical or research work involving radiation sources
Who Should Apply
Radiologists, medical physicists and radiation science researchers with a Master's or doctorate who can defend a safety call on technical grounds. Candidates must hold Five Eyes citizenship and reside in one of those countries.
Salary Insight
Pay comes in at $85 for each approved task, which the listing describes as a $150/hr equivalent. That sits well above standard clinical annotation rates and reflects the advanced degree and specialist judgment the work demands.
