Radiologists
Listing checked October 23, 2026 · pay as published by Handshake AI
Overview
Handshake AI enlists practicing radiologists to shape how AI models handle real clinical reasoning. You bring your diagnostic imaging background in X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, then use it to judge what a model produces and where it falls short. Tasks mirror actual radiology work: image interpretation, differential diagnosis, protocol selection, and report writing. The program runs all year, with projects opening as different specialty areas come up, so you can take work alongside a current clinical post. Everything happens remotely and on a schedule you set.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design expert-level radiology tasks that current AI models fail, built around clinical workflows such as image interpretation, differential diagnosis, protocol selection, and report writing
- 2Score AI-generated answers for clinical accuracy, completeness, and consistency with current radiology practice
- 3Write structured feedback that names the error and explains the correct reasoning
- 4Flag responses that misstate findings, skip key differentials, or propose a protocol a radiologist would reject
- 5Contribute cases and prompts from your own subspecialty area as new projects open
- 6Complete tasks remotely on your own timetable with no set hours or weekly minimum
Requirements7
- 1Completed MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree
- 2Diagnostic radiology residency or fellowship finished or in progress, or board certified or board eligible in radiology
- 3Working depth in at least one subspecialty such as neuroradiology, head and neck, musculoskeletal, chest, cardiac, abdominal, breast, pediatric, emergency, interventional radiology, or nuclear medicine
- 4US work authorization
- 5Strong written communication and close attention to detail
- 6Ability to explain complex radiology concepts in plain, structured prose
- 7Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous setup
Who Should Apply
Radiologists with subspecialty depth who want paid, flexible work that uses their clinical judgment rather than their call schedule. Board eligible or board certified physicians, including residents and fellows near the end of training, fit well. US work authorization is required.
Salary Insight
The listed rate is $300.00 per hour, well above typical clinical locum pay and far above general AI annotation work, which reflects the credential barrier here. Bear in mind that hours are project-based and open periodically, so monthly earnings track how many task batches you take on rather than a fixed schedule.

Application Tip
Name your subspecialty areas outright in your profile, for example neuroradiology or musculoskeletal imaging, and list every modality you read plus any PACS, structured reporting, or clinical decision support tool you use. Mention academic medical center experience, publications, or imaging AI research if you have them, since the posting marks those as application strengtheners.

Mercor
VerifiedRadiologist
Mercor places board-certified radiologists on a project with a leading AI lab, judging how well health models answer clinical questions. You read de-identified patient charts, then score model responses for accuracy, safety, and fit with current standards of care. Each case asks you to compare two answers and explain which one holds up better. Work happens remote on an hourly basis with flexible part-time hours, and the start date is immediate.

Terac
VerifiedRadiologists: Medical Image Review for AI Benchmarks
Terac runs a paid study that tests how well diagnostic imaging algorithms perform, and the work depends on accurate reads from practicing radiologists. You review de-identified images and clinical cases on a secure remote platform, then score each case with a structured rubric. Your assessments create the ground truth that judges these diagnostic imaging algorithms, including key anatomical and pathological findings. The workflow has no live sessions, so you can complete cases at your own pace.

SME Careers
VerifiedRadiologist SME for AI Imaging Review and Content
This remote, hourly contract places you as a Radiology SME to review AI-generated imaging responses and to craft expert content across modalities such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound within a secure PACS workflow. You will assess accuracy, safety, and reasoning in step-by-step clinical problem solving, delivering precise written feedback on imaging appropriateness, differential diagnosis, and protocol choices. The role emphasizes prudent judgments around contrast use, radiation dose, and pregnancy considerations, with meticulous attention to missed findings and clear explanations. You will collaborate remotely, contributing to AI model evaluation, training data improvements, and peer review workflows to help shape leading radiology content and AI solutions.

Terac
VerifiedRadiologists: Medical Image Review for AI Benchmarks
Terac needs practicing radiologists to turn expert reads into scoring rubrics that ground diagnostic benchmarks for new clinical tools. You work through a secure remote platform, reviewing de-identified scans alongside the clinical case attached to each one across several imaging modalities. Every case gets your own interpretation plus a structured scoring rubric applied against the criteria provided. The findings you submit become reference evaluations, which means the benchmarks rest on sound clinical reads instead of guesswork. Work runs on your own schedule, so review blocks fit around clinical duties.

Terac
VerifiedRadiology Residents: Medical Image Evaluation for AI Benchmarks
Terac seeks current radiology residents for a paid remote project that scores de-identified medical images and clinical cases. You review each case on a desktop, record your diagnostic read, and apply a structured rubric that becomes a reference evaluation for AI benchmarking. Residents from every training year and from diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and neuroradiology tracks can contribute. The work centers on medical imaging, clinical diagnostics, and AI benchmarking.

Terac
VerifiedRadiology Residents: Medical Image Evaluation for AI Benchmarks
Terac is running a paid study that turns expert radiology reads into clinical reference benchmarks used to validate clinical decision tools. Residents review de-identified medical imaging studies with their matching case notes, write a structured read for each one, and score the findings against a shared rubric. The point is to anchor diagnostic scoring in current radiological practice instead of guesswork. Reviews happen on a secure remote platform, and you set your own hours inside the study window.
