Radiologist
Listing checked October 24, 2026 · pay as published by Mercor
Overview
Mercor places board-certified radiologists on a project with a leading AI lab, judging how well health models answer clinical questions. You read de-identified patient charts, then score model responses for accuracy, safety, and fit with current standards of care. Each case asks you to compare two answers and explain which one holds up better. Work happens remote on an hourly basis with flexible part-time hours, and the start date is immediate.
What You'll Do6
- 1Review answers that AI models give to radiology questions and rate them for clinical accuracy, safety, and alignment with current standards of care
- 2Cross-check every response against the patient chart before scoring it
- 3Compare two model answers for the same question and pick the one with stronger clinical footing
- 4Write structured rationales that address clinical rigor, completeness, and clarity
- 5Identify errors that could put patient safety at risk and mark them for review
- 6Keep judgments consistent across cases as charts and question types vary
Requirements7
- 1MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- 2Board certification in ABR Diagnostic Radiology through an ABMS member board or the AOA
- 3Active, unrestricted US medical license
- 4Completed residency, plus a fellowship where your specialty calls for one
- 5Currently seeing patients in the US, with at least 1 year of independent practice after training
- 63 or more years of post-training experience strongly preferred
- 7Clear written communication and close attention to detail
Who Should Apply
Practicing, board-certified diagnostic radiologists with an active unrestricted US license and at least a year of independent practice. Candidates holding 3+ years of post-training experience, including any required fellowship, stand out. Strong clinical writing skills matter as much as imaging depth.

Handshake AI
VerifiedRadiologists
Handshake AI enlists practicing radiologists to shape how AI models handle real clinical reasoning. You bring your diagnostic imaging background in X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine, then use it to judge what a model produces and where it falls short. Tasks mirror actual radiology work: image interpretation, differential diagnosis, protocol selection, and report writing. The program runs all year, with projects opening as different specialty areas come up, so you can take work alongside a current clinical post. Everything happens remotely and on a schedule you set.

Mercor
VerifiedRheumatologist
Mercor pairs board-certified rheumatologists with a major AI lab to test how well health models handle clinical reasoning. Your day centers on de-identified patient charts: you read the record, then score AI responses to rheumatology questions against current standards of care. Each judgment comes with a written rationale that covers clinical rigor, completeness, and clarity, so strong documentation habits matter as much as diagnostic skill. The work runs on hourly terms with flexible part-time hours, all remote, and the team wants someone to start right away.

SME Careers
VerifiedRadiologist SME for AI Imaging Review and Content
This remote, hourly contract places you as a Radiology SME to review AI-generated imaging responses and to craft expert content across modalities such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound within a secure PACS workflow. You will assess accuracy, safety, and reasoning in step-by-step clinical problem solving, delivering precise written feedback on imaging appropriateness, differential diagnosis, and protocol choices. The role emphasizes prudent judgments around contrast use, radiation dose, and pregnancy considerations, with meticulous attention to missed findings and clear explanations. You will collaborate remotely, contributing to AI model evaluation, training data improvements, and peer review workflows to help shape leading radiology content and AI solutions.

Terac
VerifiedRadiologists: Medical Image Review for AI Benchmarks
Terac runs a paid study that tests how well diagnostic imaging algorithms perform, and the work depends on accurate reads from practicing radiologists. You review de-identified images and clinical cases on a secure remote platform, then score each case with a structured rubric. Your assessments create the ground truth that judges these diagnostic imaging algorithms, including key anatomical and pathological findings. The workflow has no live sessions, so you can complete cases at your own pace.

Mercor
VerifiedCardiologist
Mercor places board-certified cardiologists alongside a leading AI lab to test health models on real clinical questions. You read de-identified patient charts, then judge competing AI answers in cardiology for accuracy, safety, and fit with current standards of care. Each judgment you record shapes how these AI models respond for clinicians and patients. The work runs remote and hourly, with part-time hours you arrange around your practice.

Terac
VerifiedRadiologists: Medical Image Review for AI Benchmarks
Terac needs practicing radiologists to turn expert reads into scoring rubrics that ground diagnostic benchmarks for new clinical tools. You work through a secure remote platform, reviewing de-identified scans alongside the clinical case attached to each one across several imaging modalities. Every case gets your own interpretation plus a structured scoring rubric applied against the criteria provided. The findings you submit become reference evaluations, which means the benchmarks rest on sound clinical reads instead of guesswork. Work runs on your own schedule, so review blocks fit around clinical duties.
