Pediatric Inpatient Nurses (RN) | $55-$65/hr Remote
Overview
Pediatric inpatient RNs with recent bedside experience can put that expertise to work training AI models that operate in clinical settings. You will review AI-generated clinical outputs against real nursing flowsheet documentation, flagging inaccuracies and gaps. The work draws on your day-to-day charting habits and your comfort with comprehensive pediatric assessments. It is a remote, hourly engagement built for nurses who want to shape how healthcare AI handles inpatient documentation.
What You'll Do8
- 1Read AI-generated clinical notes against the original nursing flowsheet records and judge whether the content is accurate and complete.
- 2Flag any documentation that contradicts the source chart, omits required assessment data, or creates a clinical safety risk.
- 3Turn real pediatric inpatient assessment data into structured, labeled examples for AI training datasets.
- 4Write concise, specific feedback on nursing assessments and charting habits so model developers can pinpoint what to fix.
- 5Spot recurring patterns of inconsistency or risk in model-generated answers and recommend targeted corrections.
- 6Ask for clarification when an annotation instruction is ambiguous, and propose edits that make the guideline clearer.
- 7Coordinate with engineers and product teams to identify weak spots in the model and measure whether updates improve performance.
- 8Draft clinical benchmarks that reflect real nursing standards for documentation accuracy.
Requirements7
- 1Hold an active RN license in any U.S. state except California.
- 2Bring recent pediatric acute care inpatient bedside experience, ideally from a non-procedural unit; this experience must be within the past 10 years.
- 3Be comfortable performing and writing up comprehensive pediatric nursing assessments, with current or recent documentation experience counting more than total years in the field.
- 4Follow detailed annotation guidelines consistently across many cases without drifting from the instructions.
- 5Communicate clearly in writing and incorporate feedback without repeated revisions.
- 6Work independently, manage your own time, and hit deadlines.
- 7Preference goes to candidates with Epic EHR experience, chart review or quality improvement backgrounds, or previous annotation or clinical informatics work.
Who Should Apply
A nurse who has spent recent years documenting pediatric assessments in an acute care inpatient unit will find the work familiar. The role suits someone who enjoys close reading of clinical notes and can explain why a chart is or is not complete. It is less suited to nurses who want direct patient contact or who prefer bedside shifts over focused review tasks. Screening often rules out applicants whose pediatric inpatient experience is more than 10 years old, or who have only outpatient or procedural backgrounds. Another frequent rejection comes from annotation test answers that miss small details, since precision is the whole job.
Salary Insight
The pay is $55 to $65 per hour on an hourly engagement. That rate sits at the higher end for remote nursing consulting work, reflecting the need for specialized pediatric inpatient expertise rather than general nursing skills.

Application Tip
When you apply, state the exact year of your most recent pediatric inpatient documentation and name the EHR system you worked in. If you have done chart abstraction, CDI, or quality review, give a concrete example of how you judged documentation completeness; that direct evidence carries more weight than a generic list of duties.
