Overview
As a remote contract QA lead, you oversee quality across neuroscience and cognitive science AI training items, ensuring outputs align with client rubrics. You review AI-generated explanations, research summaries, and llm evaluation of brain-behavior concepts for accuracy and clarity. You document guidelines and support onboarding to keep contributors aligned with project standards. You help activate contributors, manage remote QA workflows, and communicate updates through Discord and other collaboration tools.
What You'll Do8

- 4Address questions around neural mechanisms, experimental design, and statistics with clear explanations.
- 5Coordinate onboarding and training sessions, document calibration tasks, and maintain style guides and FAQs.
- 6Identify recurring quality gaps, propose scalable QA improvements, and help implement new workflows.
- 7Monitor trainer and QA activity, encourage consistency, and flag availability issues as needed.
- 8Ensure ethical review and methodological caution when reviewing brain-related claims.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent in neuroscience and cognitive science or related field such as psychology, neurobiology, computational neuroscience, biology, or related field.
- 2Excellent written and spoken English to follow project guidelines and provide clear feedback.
- 33+ years in neuroscience or cognitive science research, teaching, lab work, review, or related scientific workflows.
- 4Strong understanding of neural systems, cognition, perception, attention, memory, learning, language, decision-making, and brain-behavior relationships.
- 5Ability to evaluate neuroscience content against rubrics and identify neuromyths, overclaims, pseudoscience, or misinterpretations.
- 6Familiarity with EEG and fMRI, behavioral experiments, computational modeling, neuropsychological assessment, statistics, Python or R or MATLAB, or literature review.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of researchers, reviewers, educators, or QA is strongly preferred.
- 8Comfort working in fast-moving remote environments using Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management systems.
- 9Highly detail-oriented and organized, with ability to maintain style guides, onboarding materials, calibration tasks, and documentation.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, scientific QA, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.
