Overview
Glen Raven needs a contract Multimedia Designer to shape how the Sunbrella brand comes through in video, motion, and visual storytelling. The marketing creative team brings you campaign footage, product stories, interviews, and archival material, then asks for edits that grab attention in the opening seconds. Video editing drives the work, though graphic design and photo retouching come up too. Expect about 20 to 25 hours per week on a 1099 basis, working remotely alongside the Creative Director, Art Director, designers, copywriters, and marketing partners. Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects sit at the center of the daily toolkit.
What You'll Do9
- Read creative briefs, work out what each asset needs, and keep the Creative Director, Art Director, and Marketing Manager on the same page about direction.
- Turn campaign concepts, product stories, and raw footage into video ideas built around a hook that lands in the first few seconds.
- Build finished edits that pull footage, photography, animation, type, music, sound design, and visual effects into a look that belongs only to Sunbrella.
- Mine existing campaign footage, stills, and archives for new channel-specific stories instead of resizing or trimming what already exists.
- Cut social series, product pieces, designer and maker profiles, interviews, behind-the-scenes content, event recaps, and paid-social creative.
- Team up with design, copy, brand, social, and marketing partners from concept through delivery, shaping ideas with social storytelling and future edits in mind.
- Prepare platform-ready exports and check aspect ratio, duration, resolution, captions, audio, color, and file specs before handoff.
- Take on graphic design, photo editing, retouching, and campaign development when the wider team needs them.
- Protect brand consistency and creative integrity while testing fresh approaches to Sunbrella storytelling, and work within the established brand books and guidelines.
Requirements10
- 5 to 10 years of professional work in video editing, motion design, social content creation, or multimedia production.
- A strong portfolio that shows range across graphic design, video, and multimedia storytelling.
- Proven record of producing high-quality visual content built for a range of digital platforms.
- Direct experience making content for organic and paid social, not just adapting traditional campaign or long-form video.
- Skill at finding a story inside mixed source material: polished campaign footage, interviews, behind-the-scenes clips, still photography, archival assets, and user-generated content.
- Advanced command of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Illustrator.
- Strength in short-form editing: visual pacing, story structure, sound design, music editing, color correction, typography, motion graphics, and finishing.
- Sharp editorial judgment for picking the hook, sequence, visual device, and format that suits a given audience and channel.
- A keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
- Comfort running several projects at once while hitting tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications2
- BFA in photography, new media, or another visual arts field
- Background in a brand, agency, editorial, or content studio setting
Who Should Apply
