micro1 is looking for a creative Content Editor to produce compelling video content for their marketing initiatives on a project basis. This remote contractor role focuses on editing high-retention videos tailored for social media platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter), with a primary emphasis on horizontal (16:9) format. You'll play a key part in growing the micro1 brand by using modern editing techniques, motion graphics, and engaging storytelling.
What You'll Do6
- 1Edit and polish video content for micro1's social media channels, prioritizing horizontal (16:9) assets for YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn while also creating vertical (9:16) versions when needed.
- 2Build strong video hooks, dynamic captions, and animated motion graphics to capture attention and maximize audience retention.
- 3Incorporate B-roll, sound effects, speed ramps, transitions, punch-ins, and text animations to make each piece more engaging.
- 4Optimize pacing, music, and audio levels to deliver polished, trend-aware content that aligns with platform best practices.
- 5Work remotely with the marketing team to interpret creative briefs, iterate on feedback, and ensure brand consistency across all deliverables.
- 6Keep project files organized and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.

- 1A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality editing for platforms such as YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn, plus experience with short-form vertical content like Instagram Reels, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts.
