Overview
As a remote, hourly contractor, you serve as a Mandarin Chinese localization expert, auditing AI-generated responses for language quality. You assess reasoning quality and step-by-step solutions, crafting clear explanations that strengthen model outputs. Using MQM and LQA concepts, you identify root causes of errors and ensure tone, terminology, and cultural nuance meet China conventions. Requirements10
- 1bachelor’s degree or higher in translation, linguistics, localization, communications, or related field.
- 2native or near-native mandarin chinese with strong china locale conventions.
- 3minimum c1 english proficiency (reading and writing) for interpreting prompts, sources, and evaluation guidelines.
- 45+ years of professional localization/translation experience; multilingual localization experience a plus.
- 5demonstrated ability to apply MQM/LQA concepts to quality decisions.
- 6proficiency with CAT tools (translation memory, termbases) and QA workflows.
- 7excellent editorial judgment on tone, register, inclusivity, and cultural nuance.
