What You'll Do8

- 5Create high-quality rewrites and samples that demonstrate best practices in Malayalam writing.
- 6Rate multiple AI responses and document the rationale for prioritizing certain answers.
- 7Collaborate with the data-annotation team to align prompts and evaluation guidelines.
- 8Maintain audit trails of revisions and decisions for training datasets.
Requirements9
- 1Bachelor's degree or higher in Linguistics, Malayalam/English Literature, Communications, Journalism, Translation, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Native or near-native Malayalam proficiency (reading and writing).
- 3Strong professional proficiency in English (C1) to follow guidelines and provide detailed feedback.
- 43+ years of professional experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
- 5Deep understanding of Malayalam grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style; able to explain why something is wrong and how to fix it.
- 6Comfortable handling multiple registers and dialect variation across Kerala, plus audience adaptation (India vs diaspora).
- 7High attention to detail when spotting subtle meaning shifts, awkward translations, hallucinations, or culturally mismatched phrasing.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, and able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Prior experience with AI data training/annotation, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation is strongly preferred.
