Overview

We're seeking experienced litigators and practicing attorneys to apply their legal expertise to a pioneering project at the intersection of law and artificial intelligence. In this remote contract role, you'll help train next-generation AI systems by evaluating and refining AI-generated legal content — no prior AI knowledge is required. Your domain expertise and analytical rigor are the core assets here.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Assess AI-generated legal documents — such as briefs, arguments, and memos — using your litigation experience and legal reasoning to ensure accuracy and professional quality.
  • 2Review outputs for factual correctness and logical consistency, then provide detailed written feedback on errors, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • 3Tackle ambiguous or complex edge cases in legal analysis, helping calibrate the AI's handling of nuanced scenarios.
  • 4Draft or refine sample legal language and arguments to improve the model's understanding of varied litigation and practice contexts.
  • 5Collaborate asynchronously with a cross-functional team, incorporating iterative feedback and delivering clear written communication.

Requirements6

  • 1A JD degree from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school and an active license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 23–15 years of post-JD legal experience, with a strong preference for candidates who specialize in trial, appellate, or general litigation.
  • 3Proven expertise in legal writing — experience as a law journal editor or published legal author is a plus.
  • 4Federal or state judicial clerkship experience (trial or appellate) is highly valued.
  • 5Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and professionally, whether in writing or verbally.
  • 6Prior teaching or instruction experience in legal education (e.g., law school faculty, adjunct, lecturer, or fellow) is desirable.

Who Should Apply

This role is ideal for practicing attorneys with a strong litigation background who enjoy dissecting intricate legal questions and want to apply their skills in a cutting-edge AI environment. If you have a sharp eye for detail, excellent legal writing abilities, and can explain complex concepts with clarity, you'll thrive here.
