What You'll Do11
- 1Spot-check Kotlin items and deliver ongoing feedback via direct messages
- 2Review AI-generated Kotlin code and Android/JVM snippets for correctness and readability
- 3Provide clear guidance on Kotlin standards and project guidelines in Discord
- 4Answer questions on Kotlin syntax, null safety, coroutines, Android/JVM context, tests, and rubric interpretation
- 5DM inactive contributors to re-engage them and track activation
- 6Create Kotlin documentation, style guides, examples, trackers, FAQs, and onboarding materials
- 7Lead onboarding sessions for Kotlin contributors and trainers
- 8Flag insecure or non-production-ready Kotlin recommendations and non-idiomatic code
- 9Improve QA processes by addressing recurring quality gaps
- 10Monitor and improve trainer performance and rubric alignment
- 11Prepare reports on code quality, test coverage, and deliverable consistency
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience
- 23+ years of professional Kotlin, Android, JVM backend, code review, QA, or technical mentoring experience
- 3Strong knowledge of Kotlin syntax, null safety, data classes, sealed classes, generics, extension functions, collections, lambdas, coroutines, flows, exception handling, and Java interoperability
- 4Ability to identify issues such as incorrect coroutine usage, unsafe null handling, flawed logic, or non-executable code
- 5Familiarity with Android, Jetpack Compose, Gradle, Ktor, Spring Boot, JUnit, MockK, Espresso, Kotlin Flow, GitHub, CI/CD, and app architecture patterns
- 6Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, engineers, reviewers, or QAs
- 7Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, GitHub, and PM systems
- 8Highly organized with a track record of maintaining style guides, trackers, FAQs, onboarding materials
- 9Experience with AI training, LLM evaluation, code QA, or rubric-based code review is a strong plus
- 10Proficient English for guidelines and technical feedback
