JavaScript / TypeScript Full-Stack Developer
Overview
This role centers on building and refining the code that trains and evaluates AI models for leading LLM companies. You'll write production-grade JavaScript/TypeScript across the stack, using back-end frameworks like Node.js or Nest.js and front-end libraries such as React, Vue, or Angular. Daily work includes running model evaluations, ranking responses, and writing rationales that feed Supervised Fine-Tuning and RLHF processes. You'll also review peers' code, design evaluation strategies, and collaborate with researchers to align model behavior with user needs and ethical guidelines.
What You'll Do11
- 1Develop and maintain high-quality code for AI model training and performance tuning.
- 2Run evaluation benchmarks to measure model performance and analyze results for continuous improvement.
- 3Assess and rank model-generated answers to user queries across multiple domains.
- 4Write clear, detailed rationales that justify each evaluation decision.
- 5Own the Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) pipeline, including creating and curating task-specific datasets.
- 6Work with researchers and annotators to implement RLHF and refine reward models.
- 7Design new evaluation strategies and processes to keep model behavior aligned with user needs and ethical standards.
- 8Refine AI-generated responses to improve clarity, relevance, and technical accuracy.
- 9Perform thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to teammates.
- 10Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance model performance and contribute to product improvements.
- 11Experiment with new tools and methods to strengthen the AI training workflow.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2Proven track record building web applications with modular, scalable architectures and a strong emphasis on code readability, security, and stability through testing.
- 3Deep command of JavaScript or TypeScript, including syntax, conventions, and the ES6 standard.
- 4Solid experience with at least one back-end framework (Node.js or Nest.js) or one front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- 5Familiarity with Docker for containerization.
- 6Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- 7Bonus: prior experience in software quality assurance and test planning.
