Italian Bilingual Writer for AI Voice Evaluation (Remote)
Overview
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to capture real, natural voice interactions with an advanced assistant. You will use a specialized app on your own Apple Silicon Mac to complete everyday tasks by speaking, then log and grade the AI's responses in Italian. The project runs for 4 weeks with an immediate start, and onboarding includes a 25-minute conversational interview. This remote role pays an hourly rate of $21.
What You'll Do5
- 1Compose messages, emails, and notes across everyday apps using only your voice.
- 2Direct the AI to perform actions such as generating images, formatting text, applying spreadsheet formulas, or summarizing documents.
- 3Record accurate transcripts of your spoken queries and produce a cleaned-up version.
- 4Rate the AI's responses for quality and correctness.
- 5Log all task data in a structured tracking sheet and upload supporting recordings to a shared drive.
Requirements5
- 1Native or near-native proficiency in Italian; candidates raised in Italy are preferred.
- 2Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- 3Must own a Mac with an Apple Silicon chip (M1, M2, or M3) running macOS Sequoia 15.0 or newer.
- 4Regular, everyday use of common productivity apps (email, messaging, docs, spreadsheets, browsers).
- 5Comfortable with detailed, structured data entry and self-directed quality review.
Who Should Apply
This role is ideal for a native Italian speaker who uses a Mac daily and enjoys meticulous, structured work. If you don't have an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS Sequoia 15+, you will not be able to participate, so apply only if your hardware qualifies. Candidates who struggle to follow English instructions or find repetitive data logging tedious will likely be filtered out. Also, those uncomfortable evaluating AI responses in real time may not get far in the process.
Salary Insight
The rate is $21.00 per hour. This is a solid hourly pay for a short-term remote project of this nature, especially given the need for native Italian proficiency and technical setup on Apple Silicon. It aligns with what similar voice AI evaluation gigs typically offer.
