Overview
Remote contractor role focused on editorial, poster and marketing layout. What You'll Do6
- 1Annotate editorial, poster, and marketing assets and short video clips using a defined schema and precise visual vocabulary.
- 2Break down finished designs into layers and fill structured metadata detailing hierarchy, geometry, style, and typography systems.
- 3Describe video framing, movement, and visual flow using industry terms aligned with cinematography and composition standards.
- 4Create high-quality example annotations that serve as benchmarks for the dataset and training materials.
- 5Flag unclear cases, missing categories, or edge cases in the annotation schema to help improve guidelines.
- 6Coordinate with project leads and QA to keep annotation frameworks aligned during updates.
Requirements7
- 13–5+ years in graphic design, visual/brand design, layout or print specialization, editorial design, or art direction; leadership track welcome for 7+ years of experience.
- 2Portfolio showing advanced typography, color, layout, and visual hierarchy in editorial and marketing contexts.
- 3Proficiency with Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects) or equivalent tools.
- 4Ability to document design concepts precisely using established terminology for design and composition.
- 5Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communication, or a strong professional portfolio in lieu of formal education.
- 6Strong written English for meticulous annotation and structured content documentation.
- 7Experience in poster, editorial, or marketing layout with additional skills in motion design or video editing is a plus.
