Overview

micro1 is hiring Data Privacy Analysts to support a customer's data privacy initiative. You will review transformed datasets to confirm that PII has been properly redacted or anonymized. The work involves spot checks, document review, and reporting discrepancies using provided tools. Your input helps train next-generation AI systems with high-quality, real-world data.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Run spot checks on transformed datasets to confirm that PII has been redacted or anonymized correctly.
  • 2Review documents in detail to verify that data privacy standards are met throughout.
  • 3Identify any sensitive information that was missed or handled incorrectly and provide clear feedback.
  • 4Record and report discrepancies or observations using the tools and templates provided.
  • 5Assess datasets for compliance with privacy requirements and flag areas of concern.
  • 6Maintain accurate records of your review findings for the customer's privacy initiative.

Requirements6

  • 1Solid background in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, or compliance processes.
  • 2Deep understanding of Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and data privacy regulations.
  • 3Prior experience as a Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
  • 4Hands-on work in legal document review, litigation support, or managed legal services.
  • 5Proven record of handling sensitive data in high-stakes environments.
  • 6Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to stay accurate under pressure.

Who Should Apply

This role fits professionals with a background in legal document review, eDiscovery, or privacy compliance who can spot redaction errors in transformed datasets. If you have worked as a paralegal, compliance manager, or information governance specialist and you are comfortable with PII regulations, you are a strong match. The role is less suitable for candidates without direct experience reviewing sensitive data or those who prefer creative or strategic work over detailed verification. A common reason candidates get rejected is failing to show specific examples of PII handling or redaction checks in their work history. Another is not demonstrating the level of attention to detail required for spot-checking large datasets.
