Contract Review Expert for AI Contract Analysis

Overview

As a remote, hourly Contract Review Expert, you’ll serve as an SME who reviews AI-generated contract analyses and drafting outputs and, when needed, creates expert contract content. You’ll evaluate reasoning quality and pinpoint step-by-step issues, delivering precise written feedback. Expect to evaluate accuracy, clarity, completeness, and adherence to prompts while flagging errors in clause interpretation, risk allocation, missing terms, ambiguity, and enforceability concerns. SME Careers, part of SuperAnnotate, offers this hourly, remote contract work to help build AI training data; there are opportunities for future projects rather than an immediate assignment.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Review AI-generated contract analyses and drafting outputs for accuracy, risk signals, and completeness.
  • 2Develop prompts and gold-standard contract outputs, including issue lists, redlines, negotiation notes, clause rewrites, and playbook guidance.
  • 3Evaluate AI responses and rank them by correctness, defensibility, clarity, and negotiation usefulness.
  • 4Write clear, practical guidance and model revisions that reflect risk-aware contract reasoning for non-legal audiences.
  • 5Rate and compare multiple AI responses to identify the best solutions across contract scenarios.
  • 6Test outputs for confidentiality risks and bias; validate reliability across contract types.
  • 7Collaborate on template library maintenance and CLM-related data to improve future training.

Requirements8

  • 1JD/LLB or equivalent, or paralegal/contracts professional background with substantial contract review experience; 5+ years in contracts.
  • 2Strong ability to identify and explain contract risk, including liability caps, indemnities, warranties, limitations, termination rights, payment risk, and IP ownership/licensing.
  • 3Experience reviewing and redlining MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, SaaS/subscription, and vendor or services agreements.
  • 4Comfort with privacy and security clauses: confidentiality, data processing, security standards, breach notification, subcontractors, and audit rights.
  • 5Exceptional attention to detail; minimum C1 English proficiency.
  • 6Ability to write clear, practical guidance and provide gold-standard redlines and explanations for non-legal audiences.
  • 7Reliable, self-directed, able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly, remote contractor workflow across time zones.
  • 8Familiarity with CLM tools and version control is a plus; prior AI data training/QA, knowledge management, or template library maintenance is strongly preferred.

Who Should Apply

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of contract work across in-house, law firm, procurement, vendor management, legal ops, or contracts management. You excel at identifying risk and explaining it in practical terms, and you can write guidance and redlines for non-legal audiences. You have hands-on experience with MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, DPAs, and SaaS agreements, and you are comfortable with data privacy terms. This role suits self-directed, remote professionals who can work across time zones; it is less suitable for those with less than 5 years of experience or who lack CLM or AI data training familiarity.
