What You'll Do7
- 1Set up and operate CNC machines across desktop and industrial platforms, ensuring proper tooling and work-holding configurations
- 2Load, verify, and run CNC programs; establish work offsets and confirm machine readiness for each project
- 3Execute first-piece checks, compare parts to drawings, and adjust setups to hit dimensional targets
- 4Maintain machines through routine servicing and diagnose issues like tool wear, chatter, or drift in measurements
- 5Use precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, CMM) to verify parts against specifications
- 6Read engineering drawings and GD&T callouts to guide production
- 7Collaborate with CAM programmers and other stakeholders to improve setups and manufacturability
Requirements7
- 15+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience with setup and production duties
- 2Expertise operating Haas control systems (VF-2 or equivalent)
- 3Familiarity with desktop hobbyist CNC platforms such as Makera Carvera is highly preferred
- 4Proven ability to interpret blueprints and GD&T, and to use precision measurement tools
- 5Experience working with metals and plastics and handling diverse geometries
- 6Strong written and spoken English for documentation and feedback
- 7Proactive troubleshooting of machining processes and maintaining a safe, organized workspace
