Overview
Remote Manufacturing Design Engineer bringing strong FreeCAD expertise to craft production-ready parts and assemblies. What You'll Do5
- 1Create and adjust parametric 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using FreeCAD or comparable tools.
- 2Produce complete engineering drawings with GD&T and tolerance stacks suitable for manufacturing handoff.
- 3Design parts with consideration for sheet metal, CNC machining, plastics, and injection molding processes.
- 4Run CAD validation and quality checks to confirm model accuracy and production readiness.
- 5Draft clear technical documentation and assembly instructions for AI model training, and update them based on reviewer feedback.
Requirements6
- 1At least 2 years designing mechanical components for manufacturing environments.
- 2Proficiency in FreeCAD or another parametric CAD platform for modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
- 3Hands-on experience with sheet metal, CNC, plastics, and injection molding design considerations.
- 4Solid grasp of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturing best practices.
