C++ Team Lead for AI Training Quality and QA
Overview
Lead the quality assurance effort for C++ AI training projects from a remote, contract role. Review AI-generated C++ code, assess compile-time and runtime behavior, and provide precise feedback to contributors. Maintain project guidelines, style guides, and rubrics, ensuring memory safety and performance. Collaborate with distributed teams of trainers, reviewers, and engineers to uphold production-ready quality. Strong C++ expertise and clear English communication are essential.
What You'll Do4
- 1Perform code and output review of AI-generated C++ code, identifying defects and suggesting concrete improvements.
- 2Provide written feedback to contributors and escalate quality issues to maintainers when patterns repeat.
- 3Coordinate with remote trainers and QA engineers via Discord and documentation channels to enforce review standards.
- 4Maintain and update C++ style guides, onboarding materials, and calibration tasks to improve consistency across projects.
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor's or master's in computer science, software engineering or equivalent professional software experience.
- 23+ years of hands-on C++ development, systems programming, or performance engineering with strong knowledge of modern C++ standards and memory management.
- 3Experience with build systems and tools such as CMake, GCC/Clang/MSVC, GDB/LLDB, sanitizers, and static analysis tools.
- 4Proven ability to identify issues like undefined behavior, memory leaks, race conditions, or non-compiling code; strong debugging and QA skills.
- 5Experience leading or supporting remote teams of developers, trainers, or QA specialists; comfortable with remote collaboration tools and project trackers.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates are experienced C++ professionals who can enforce high-quality standards across AI training tasks. This role suits those who excel in code and rubric-based QA, enjoy mentoring others, and can operate effectively in a remote, distributed environment. Less suitable for candidates lacking modern C++ knowledge, or those uncomfortable with English communication and written feedback. Candidates who cannot demonstrate memory management, concurrency concepts, or build-system proficiency may not score highly.
