Overview

You will support a leading AI lab's generative model work by applying real architecture and interior design judgment to training data. Day to day, you build reference sets in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino and produce photoreal interiors and exteriors in V-Ray, Corona, Enscape, or Unreal Engine. You also review AI-generated plans, sections, elevations, and renders, then write notes on spatial logic, clearances, code compliance, scale, materials, and lighting. The engagement runs 40 hours per week on weekdays as W-2 employment with Cincinnatus LLC, with placement inside the AI lab's extended workforce.

What You'll Do6

  • Coach research teams on architecture and interior design gaps that affect model quality.
  • Create realistic task briefs plus reference deliverables such as AutoCAD plan sets, SketchUp or Revit models, material boards, and photoreal renders.
  • Review AI output across plans, sections, elevations, and renders, then flag errors in spatial layout, clearances, building code, scale, finishes, and lighting.
  • Write review notes that explain each correction in plain language.
  • Build rubrics and quality checks for drawing sets and visualization, covering plan geometry and sheet standards.
  • Work with other subject matter experts to keep training data consistent and accurate.

Requirements9

  • 5+ years of shipped professional work at an architecture firm, interiors practice, visualization studio, or design-build team. Crowd rating, data labeling, and student work do not meet this bar.
  • Own full drawing sets: plans, sections, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and details at working scales such as 1:20, 1:50, and 1/4"=1'-0" in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp with LayOut, ArchiCAD, or Rhino. Include at least one permit or construction document set you owned.
  • Produce professional interior and exterior renders for daylight and twilight scenes using V-Ray, Corona, Blender Cycles, Enscape, Lumion, Twinmotion, D5, or Unreal Engine. Build material and finish boards with named products.
  • Deliver editable source files in .dwg, .rvt, .skp, .3dm, .pln, .max, or .blend with layers another professional can open and continue.
  • Apply building codes and accessibility standards in your own projects, such as IBC, IRC, ADA Standards, NFPA 101, CBC Title 24, or NYC Building Code, and explain compliance decisions.
  • Use generative AI tools in professional design or visualization work, such as Midjourney, Stable Diffusion with ControlNet, Veras, Krea, Adobe Firefly, or Magnific, including image-to-image and sketch-to-render workflows. Judge a strong result against a weak one that looks plausible.
  • Share a public portfolio or reel of shipped work and walk through it.
  • Commit at least 40 hours per week on weekdays.
  • Explain creative decisions in clear written English.

Preferred Qualifications1

  • Licensed or certified: Registered Architect in a US state, NCARB certificate, NCIDQ, or AIA membership with AXP complete.

Who Should Apply

Architects, interior designers, and senior ArchViz artists with at least five years of shipped firm work fit this role. You should bring permit-level drawing sets, photoreal render portfolios, code knowledge, and hands-on use of generative AI in design workflows. Candidates who can commit 40 weekday hours and explain portfolio decisions in writing will stand out.

Salary Insight

The posted rate is $70 to $120 per hour. Cincinnatus LLC employs this W-2 role, and the schedule calls for 40 weekday hours. The band spans a wide seniority range for architecture and visualization subject matter experts, so pay within it tracks shipped drawing sets, photoreal render reels, code knowledge, licensure, and current GenAI tool use.
