Overview
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI research lab to develop next-generation text-to-speech (TTS) systems. We're looking for UK-based native English speakers with a neutral, standard UK accent to record high-quality voice samples that will train and evaluate advanced speech models. Your recordings will be used exclusively for the client's internal CX AI Agent and will not be sold, licensed, or reused for any other purpose.
What You'll Do5
- 1Record clean, expressive audio across a range of scripts — from conversational dialogue to instructional and narrative content.
- 2Deliver speech with natural rhythm, clear pronunciation, and strong control over tone and pacing.
- 3Keep your voice, accent, and delivery consistent between sessions and takes.
- 4Follow precise recording specs for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- 5Produce multiple takes with varied emotions, emphasis, and stylistic nuances when requested.
Requirements5
- 1A native English speaker with a neutral standard UK accent, currently living in the United Kingdom.
- 2Hands-on experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
- 3Access to a professional-grade recording setup — quality microphone, quiet space, pop filter — and the ability to deliver clean audio files.
- 4Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range, with the ability to stick to scripts while sounding natural.
- 5Availability for 5–10 hours per week for the duration of the project.
