Overview
We're collaborating with a leading AI research lab to build next-generation text-to-speech systems, and we need voice actors with a native Southern American English accent to record high-quality audio. Your voice will be used exclusively to train a customer experience AI agent — it will not be sold or reused. This is a short-term, remote project paying $50 per hour.
What You'll Do5
- 1Record clean, expressive voice samples across a range of script types, from conversational to narrative and instructional.
- 2Deliver consistent tone, pacing, and accent across multiple recording sessions to ensure model reliability.
- 3Follow precise technical guidelines for recording environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
- 4Provide multiple takes with varied emotional delivery, emphasis, and style as directed by the project.
- 5Maintain natural speech flow while adhering strictly to script wording and timing.
Requirements5
- 1Native speaker of Southern American English currently based in the U.S. (e.g., Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, the Carolinas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi).
- 2Proven experience in voice acting, narration, podcasting, broadcasting, or similar fields.
- 3Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup: quality microphone, quiet space, pop filter, and audio editing software.
- 4Excellent control over intonation, diction, and emotional range to deliver natural-sounding speech.
- 5Comfortable with voice cloning technology for this specific use case — recordings will not be sold or reused outside the client's CX AI agent.
