Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced U.S.-qualified labor and employment lawyers based in the United States or the United Kingdom for an exciting research project with a leading frontier AI lab. You'll apply your deep knowledge of employment law to help create, review, and evaluate realistic legal and workplace policy scenarios. This is a remote, hourly role that lets you put your corporate advisory expertise to work in a cutting-edge environment.
What You'll Do5
- 1Draft, review, and assess realistic employment law and workplace policy scenarios for a research initiative.
- 2Advise on and evaluate corporate workplace policies, including employee handbooks and HR compliance documents.
- 3Analyze complex issues such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and reasonable accommodations.
- 4Provide expert input on wage and hour compliance, termination, discipline, and employee relations matters.
- 5Address multi-jurisdictional employment law issues and support multinational companies' policy needs.
Requirements5
- 1U.S.-qualified lawyer with active bar membership and professional experience in a Labor & Employment practice group.
- 2Physically based in the United States or United Kingdom with the right to work in that country.
- 3Demonstrated expertise in reviewing and advising on corporate workplace policies, employee handbooks, and HR compliance.
- 4Hands-on experience with workplace investigations, discrimination and harassment policies, and wage-and-hour law.
- 5Strongly prefer candidates who have worked at leading law firms known for employment law (e.g., Littler, Seyfarth Shaw, Ogletree Deakins, Morgan Lewis, etc.).

Salary Insight
