U.S. Tax Workflow Evaluation Generalist
Listing checked October 6, 2026 · pay as published by Micro1
Overview
micro1 is hiring contractors for a short-term project that evaluates U.S. tax and financial workflows. You will review and annotate tax filing processes, compare system outputs to real documents, and apply detailed rubrics to judge accuracy and completeness. The work feeds directly into training next-generation AI systems, so your domain knowledge matters more than any AI background. You will connect personal financial accounts through Plaid and use Gmail and Google Drive to share documents for review. All personal data is sanitized before any downstream use.
What You'll Do7
- 1Review, annotate, and assess U.S. tax filing workflows and related financial processes against project instructions.
- 2Apply defined rubrics to score workflow accuracy, completeness, and user experience.
- 3Compare system-generated outputs with real-world tax documents and scenarios.
- 4Link personal financial accounts via secure Plaid login, plus personal Gmail and Google Drive, to support workflow reviews and document sharing.
- 5Submit relevant tax documents for project use, knowing that personally identifiable information is removed before any further handling.
- 6Deliver clear written and verbal feedback on findings when the project requires it.
- 7Coordinate with project coordinators asynchronously and send updates on deliverables.
Requirements7
- 1Reside in a mainland U.S. state and be available to start right away.
- 2Show financial literacy and hands-on experience filing 2025 U.S. taxes, whether you did it yourself or worked with a CPA or tax professional.
- 3Be willing to connect personal Gmail, Google Drive, and financial accounts for secure, project-specific use.
- 4Review and annotate documents with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- 5Have experience applying structured evaluation criteria, rubrics, or taking part in model or workflow assessments such as data annotation, RLHF, or quality review.
- 6Communicate clearly and precisely in both writing and speech.
- 7Use Google Workspace tools like Docs, Sheets, and Drive, and follow digital workflows.
Who Should Apply
This role fits someone who has filed 2025 U.S. taxes and can talk through the steps, forms, and edge cases without hesitation. You should be at ease connecting personal financial accounts through Plaid and sharing documents from Gmail or Google Drive. Candidates who have scored outputs against a rubric, done data annotation, or worked on RLHF projects tend to pick up the evaluation format fast. The role is less suitable if you have never filed a U.S. tax return or if you are uncomfortable linking personal accounts for a project. A common reason applicants get rejected is that they list tax knowledge but cannot point to a specific 2025 filing they completed. Another is skipping the rubric or annotation experience, which is central to how this work is scored.
