Overview
micro1 is hiring Financial Experts for a customer-facing project that evaluates and improves AI agents in finance. You will design realistic finance and business process prompts, build objective rubrics, and review AI outputs using Microsoft 365 tools like Excel and Word. No prior AI experience is needed. Your finance background and attention to detail are what matter.
What You'll Do6
- 1Write multi-step finance and business process prompts that reflect real industry workflows.
- 2Build detailed, objective rubrics to judge the quality, accuracy, and completeness of AI-generated responses.
- 3Evaluate AI agent outputs against your rubrics and give structured, actionable feedback.
- 4Use Microsoft 365 apps such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook to design and review tasks that mirror modern financial practices.
- 5Document all assessments and feedback in clear, precise written English.
- 6Work asynchronously with project coordinators to align on deliverable standards and expectations.
Requirements6
- 1Professional background in finance, accounting, FP&A, banking, consulting, or a related field.
- 2Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel, for analysis and documentation.
- 3Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- 4Proven attention to detail and consistency in following comprehensive evaluation guidelines.
- 5Ability to independently produce objective, structured assessments against well-defined criteria.
- 6Nice to have: experience with rubric development, data annotation, or AI model evaluation projects.
Who Should Apply
This role fits finance professionals who have worked in accounting, FP&A, banking, or consulting and are comfortable using Excel and other Microsoft 365 tools for analysis and documentation. You should enjoy writing clear, structured assessments and following detailed evaluation guidelines. The role is less suitable for someone who prefers open-ended creative work or who has no finance domain background. Candidates often get rejected when they submit generic feedback without tying it to specific rubric criteria, or when their written English lacks precision and consistency.

AfterQuery
VerifiedFinance Expert - Remote AI Response Review
AfterQuery partners with major AI labs to sharpen how their systems reason through real finance problems, and this role sits at the center of that work. You join a bench of practitioners who bring day-to-day judgment from financial planning, tax, lending, insurance or corporate finance. Your job is to create the kinds of scenarios you already handle for clients, then judge whether an AI model handles them with sound logic and accurate figures. Projects run remote and ongoing, with volume you control and support standards shared through the project chat after onboarding.

AfterQuery
VerifiedGeneral Finance Expert
AfterQuery seeks finance specialists to shape how AI systems reason through financial questions. You write demanding prompts across financial modeling, valuation, accounting, corporate finance and markets. Then you judge model answers for accuracy, logic and hidden mistakes such as miscalculated ratios or wrong cash flow assumptions. The contract operates on a remote schedule at 40 hours per week, and you complete an assessment before anyone reviews your application.

Micro1
VerifiedInvestment and Finance Expert for AI Model Evaluation
micro1 is working with a top AI lab to bring in finance professionals from investment banking, private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds. Your job is to test and sharpen how AI models reason about valuation, financial modeling, capital markets, and real investment scenarios. You will draw on your deal experience to write expert prompts, check model answers, and point out flawed logic or unrealistic assumptions. This is a remote contractor role with a pay range of $245 to $280 per hour.

Micro1
VerifiedFinance Specialist
This is a unique opportunity to apply your financial expertise in a non-traditional way — helping train AI systems by contributing original, high-quality finance documents. As a Finance Specialist with micro1, you'll provide real-world reports, models, and analyses that teach AI how to reason like a true financial professional. No prior AI experience is required; your domain depth is what matters most.

Mercor
VerifiedFinance Domain Expert — AI Training & Evaluation
A leading AI lab's GenAI team needs a senior finance practitioner to judge and improve how frontier models handle real financial work. The role involves reviewing finance tasks and model outputs, writing instruction specs and golden solutions, and building benchmarks that measure model progress. This is a full-time W-2 position through Cincinnatus LLC, placed inside the client's own tools and workflows. The work is hybrid in the Bay Area, with on-site collaboration required several days each week.

Mercor
VerifiedFinance Expert - Remote AI Evaluation Part-Time
Mercor keeps a standing pool of finance professionals who help grade and guide frontier AI models on financial reasoning. The work leans on judgment: you write problems from your own practice, attach the filings, assumptions, and constraints, then supply the reference answer a model gets measured against. You also review model output for accounting treatment, test valuation assumptions against sensitivity checks, and flag work that looks clean but would fail disclosure or audit review. Specialties include accounting, auditing, corporate finance, investment banking, asset management, wealth management, insurance, and actuarial science. Rates sit between $60 and $180 an hour, set per project by scope and depth.
