Overview

A remote contractor role focused on data and statistical chart analysis to support AI benchmarking. You’ll interpret complex visualizations like Sankey diagrams, heatmaps, and calibration curves with precise terminology. The work helps shape how models learn, reason, and perform by contributing high-quality, real-world input. No AI background required; strong domain knowledge in statistics or data science is what matters.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Interpret advanced data visualizations such as Sankey diagrams, heatmaps, calibration curves, residual plots, and correlation matrices using precise domain language.
  • 2Craft clear, multi-step analytical tasks and questions based on challenging visuals to push quantitative reasoning beyond surface chart reading.
  • 3Provide thorough, step-by-step explanations with explicit calculations, inferences, or modeling logic where needed.
  • 4Deliver outputs that reference units, scales, axes, legends, and annotations with exact statistical terminology.
  • 5Create tasks that require graphical reasoning, trend analysis, interpolation, and statistical inference while avoiding ambiguity and subjective prompts.
  • 6Collaborate remotely through written and verbal updates, incorporating feedback and keeping stakeholders aligned.
  • 7Produce verifiable tasks and solutions that support rigorous training and evaluation of advanced AI models.

Requirements4

  • 1Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in data science, statistics, applied math, computer science, operations research, or related quantitative field.
  • 2At least two years of professional, academic, or research background with statistical models, data visualizations, or analytical reporting.
  • 3Strong ability to interpret axes, legends, units, scales, confidence intervals, and statistical annotations across various chart types.
  • 4Proven skill in communicating analytical processes and quantitative reasoning clearly in written and spoken English.

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate is comfortable with rigorous, detail-driven chart interpretation and can produce clear, multi-step analyses. The role suits someone with solid data science or statistics training and experience in analytical tasks or technical documentation. It may be less suitable for those lacking experience with quantitative visuals or who prefer non-technical wording. Common fit signals include familiarity with interpreting scales and confidence intervals, plus a track record of producing auditable analysis. Candidates without strong English written or verbal communication or without remote collaboration experience may score low on fit.
