Overview

A remote contractor role focused on chart and data visualization analysis for AI training. You’ll apply domain knowledge to interpret charts with precision, craft unambiguous questions, and generate clear, step-by-step explanations of your reasoning. The project targets real-world input that helps models learn to reason and perform across disciplines. Ideal candidates come from Medicine, Finance, Engineering, Earth Sciences, Data Science, or Operations, and can communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and speech. Chart interpretation and multi-step reasoning are core to success here.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Interpret domain-specific charts and visualizations with high accuracy and precise terminology
  • 2Create clear, objective questions that require multi-step quantitative reasoning from information-rich charts
  • 3Design tasks that prompt deep reasoning, calculations, comparisons, and trend analysis
  • 4Provide exact answers accompanied by thorough, step-by-step explanations of your reasoning
  • 5Use correct chart terms, units, axes, scales, legends, confidence intervals, and time periods in all work
  • 6Collaborate remotely with project coordinators and reviewers, maintaining strong written and verbal communication
  • 7Ensure tasks are free of subjectivity and free of unnecessary complexity

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (eg Medicine, Finance, Engineering, Earth Science, Data Science, Operations)
  • 2Minimum two years of professional, academic, or research experience working with domain-relevant charts or quantitative data
  • 3Advanced degree, credential, or notable industry specialization is a plus
  • 4Proven ability to select and interpret complex charts with multiple data series or annotations
  • 5Experience writing technical assessments, benchmark questions, or structured analytical tasks for learning or evaluation
  • 6Ability to craft unambiguous, objectively answerable questions and to communicate calculations clearly in English
  • 7Experience collaborating remotely with cross-functional technical or research teams

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate is a data-driven professional who can interpret complex domain charts and translate findings into clean questions and explanations. They bring hands-on experience with charts and quantitative data in fields like medicine, finance, engineering, earth science, or data science. This role may not be a fit for someone without domain familiarity or those who struggle with precise written reasoning. Common rejections come from insufficient experience interpreting multi-series charts or from weak English explanation of calculations. Strong candidates demonstrate a track record of objective task design and clear remote collaboration.

Salary Insight

Pay ranges from 25 to 50 per hour and will be discussed during the hiring process.
