Overview
This remote contract role involves building a curated library of strategic finance deliverables. You'll work from mock financial documents to produce business cases, capital allocation reviews, and pricing analyses that are graded against a detailed rubric. It's a hands-on opportunity for finance professionals who can translate raw data into clear, decision-ready recommendations.
What You'll Do5
- 1Construct business cases and investment appraisals using NPV, IRR, and payback periods for projects, products, or make-versus-buy decisions.
- 2Rank capital allocation opportunities against hurdle rates and prepare portfolio-level review summaries.
- 3Run scenario and sensitivity analyses on corporate plans, testing variations in demand, pricing, and costs.
- 4Evaluate pricing and discount structures to support price setting and deal desk reviews, including margin impact.
- 5Develop market sizing, competitive landscape, cohort/unit economics, and cost baseline analyses for cost reduction initiatives.
Requirements3
- 1At least 4 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate strategy, or corporate planning within an operating company.
- 2Proven ownership of a capital or pricing decision presented to a leadership forum.
- 3Experience in management consulting, Big 4 strategy, growth equity, or deal desk/pricing strategy is a nice plus.
