Software Engineer, Internal Platforms | $8-$9/hr Remote
Overview
This is a high-ownership fullstack position where you'll take the lead on designing, building, and scaling the internal platforms that power our AI-driven operations. You'll own systems end-to-end—from backend services and APIs to polished frontend interfaces—all while collaborating closely with product and operations teams. What You'll Do9
- 1Design and build end-to-end fullstack systems that streamline critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
- 2Develop clean, scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js (preferably NestJS) with clear ownership and contracts.
- 3Create high-quality, performant frontend interfaces with React that internal teams rely on daily.
- 4Own data modeling and database performance—from schema design to query tuning—using PostgreSQL.
- 5Collaborate with product, operations, and design teams to turn vague requirements into well-architected systems.
- 6Improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience across all internal tooling.
- 7Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- 8Diagnose and resolve production issues while strengthening operational resilience.
- 9Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability in a high-paced environment.
Requirements10
- 1Proven experience building or contributing to production fullstack systems (through internships, projects, or professional work).
- 2Strong command of TypeScript across both frontend and backend codebases.
- 3Solid backend development skills with Node.js; familiarity with NestJS is a plus.
- 4Experience building user interfaces using React or similar frameworks.
- 5Working knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL and core data modeling principles.
- 6Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed system communication patterns.
- 7Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS (or equivalent).
- 8Awareness of modern architectures—microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems.
- 9Strong problem-solving skills, an ownership mindset, and meticulous attention to detail.
- 10Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

Salary Insight
The national base salary range for this full-time remote position is $120,000 – $155,000 USD.
