Listing checked September 8, 2026 · pay as published by Micro1
Overview
This full-time remote role puts you at the center of the systems that keep our operations and AI-driven products running. You'll build and refine internal tools, services, and workflows that scale with our infrastructure. Working across the stack, you'll own projects from design to deployment, collaborating with product, operations, and design teams. If you thrive on turning ambiguous needs into reliable, efficient systems, this is your chance to make a tangible impact.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and develop fullstack systems that power critical internal workflows and platform capabilities.
- 2Build clean, scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership.
- 3Create high-quality, performant frontend interfaces used by internal teams and stakeholders.
- 4Participate in data modeling and database performance optimization, including schema design and query tuning.
- 5Collaborate with product, operations, and design teams to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable systems.
- 6Improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience across internal tooling.
- 7Uphold engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement.
- 8Debug and resolve production issues while enhancing operational resilience.
- 9Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability in a fast-moving environment.
Requirements10
- 1Experience building or contributing to production fullstack systems (internships, projects, or professional experience).
- 2Strong TypeScript fundamentals across frontend and/or backend.
- 3Familiarity with backend development using Node.js (NestJS is a plus).
- 4Experience building user interfaces with React or similar frameworks.
- 5Understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and core data modeling principles.
- 6Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed system communication patterns.
- 7Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS (or similar).
- 8Awareness of modern architectures (microservices, serverless, or event-driven systems).
- 9Strong problem-solving ability, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
- 10Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Who Should Apply
This role is for engineers who enjoy taking ownership of systems end-to-end and are comfortable with ambiguity. You should have solid TypeScript skills and hands-on experience with Node.js and React, plus a good grasp of PostgreSQL and AWS. If you prefer clear, well-defined tasks and minimal responsibility, this might not be the right fit. Candidates often get rejected when they lack production experience or can't demonstrate how they've handled ambiguous requirements. Show concrete examples of systems you've built and how you made tradeoffs between speed and maintainability.
