Overview
micro1 seeks Senior Claims Investigation and Evidence Review Experts for a customer project aimed at detecting staged-loss and fraudulent claims. Your domain knowledge in special investigations, SIU, or forensic engineering will help train next-generation AI systems. The role is contractor, about 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule you set, including weekends. No AI experience is needed; your investigative expertise is what counts.
What You'll Do7
- Examine digital claim evidence such as CCTV and dashcam footage, scene photos, statements, and engineering reports to spot fraud or staged incidents.
- Reconstruct accident or loss events by reviewing visual and documented materials, then synthesize findings to clarify causation and authenticity.
- Write detailed assessments for SIU investigators or forensic engineers, explaining the reasoning behind each determination.
- Identify patterns or anomalies that suggest fraudulent activity, drawing on deep forensic and investigative knowledge.
- Collaborate remotely to build accurate, reliable AI datasets from your input.
- Maintain clear, professional communication in written reports and verbal discussions for clarifications or feedback.
- Share insights and best practices from special investigations, fraud analysis, or forensic engineering to improve project outcomes.
Requirements7
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in special investigations, SIU, insurance fraud detection, forensic engineering (PE), or fleet safety review.
- Proven expertise assessing claim evidence, including visual media and technical reports, for legitimacy and causation.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a track record of detecting subtle signs of staged-loss and organized fraud schemes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, focused on constructing clear, evidence-based findings.
- Experience authoring reports or affidavits for legal, forensic, or insurance industry purposes.
- Advanced familiarity with modern digital evidence types, including video, photographic, and telematics data.
- Previous remote consulting or advisory experience is a plus.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate has 7+ years in SIU, insurance fraud detection, or forensic engineering, and can read CCTV, dashcam, and telematics data to spot staged losses. You should be skilled at writing clear, evidence-based reports for legal or insurance use. Remote consulting experience is a bonus.
