Overview

micro1 seeks Senior Specialty Inspection Experts to train next-generation AI systems using real-world inspection data. You will assess crop conditions and losses from field and aerial imagery, grade vehicles and equipment for auction or pre-sale, and evaluate rental or lease return damage. This contractor role is fully remote, about 10 hours per week, with a flexible schedule you control. No AI background is needed; deep inspection experience is what matters.

What You'll Do7

  • Review field and aerial photos plus inspection records to judge crop condition and calculate loss under insurance rules.
  • Assign condition grades to vehicles and equipment for auction or pre-sale using photographic evidence and inspection data.
  • Examine rental or lease return records to spot damage and write detailed findings in expert reports.
  • Explain the reasoning behind each grade or assessment so conclusions stay transparent and traceable.
  • Work remotely with project coordinators to clarify requirements and handle project-specific needs.
  • Deliver high-quality, real-world input that helps refine AI models.
  • Focus on one or more specialty areas and state your focus during onboarding.

Requirements7

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in crop insurance adjusting, auction grading, or rental/lease return inspection.
  • Proven skill in reading field and aerial imagery for agricultural or industrial assessments.
  • Solid grasp of industry grading standards and loss assessment methods.
  • Sharp eye for detail in documentation and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to justify conclusions clearly.
  • Comfort working remotely and using digital platforms for document review and communication.
  • Experience across multiple specialty areas (crop, auction, rental) is a plus, not a must.

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in crop insurance adjusting, auction grading, or rental return inspection and can read aerial and field imagery with confidence. You write clear, well-supported assessments and work well with digital tools. If you have experience in more than one specialty, that is a bonus.
