Overview
AfterQuery builds the evaluation and training data that frontier AI labs rely on to measure how models handle real professional work. In this contractor role, practicing project managers write and grade the planning and delivery scenarios those evaluations run on. You will draft realistic project arcs that stretch from kickoff through retrospectives, then explain the reasoning a competent manager would use at each decision point. Models learn from the contrast between a plan that looks convincing and one that survives contact with a delivery team, and your job is to draw that line.
What You'll Do7
- Draft realistic project scenarios that cover kickoff, planning, execution, delivery and retrospective phases.
- Spell out the reference answer for each scenario, including the prioritization logic that justifies every call.
- Review model responses and score them on realism, completeness and how well they account for stakeholder needs.
- Identify plans that sound polished on the surface but would break down during actual delivery.
- Document tradeoffs and constraints so the reasoning behind each decision stays auditable.
- Calibrate builds against real scope, budget and stakeholder pressure rather than textbook examples.
- Adapt scenario difficulty and domain based on reviewer feedback and project needs.
Requirements8
- Two or more years of professional project management work with named scope, budget or stakeholders.
- Hands-on ownership of full project lifecycles, from kickoff through delivery.
- Solid grounding in project planning, risk management and stakeholder communication.
- Clear written English suitable for recording project decisions and the tradeoffs behind them.
- Availability of at least 10 hours per week, with no upper limit.
- A PMP, PRINCE2 or comparable certification is a plus.
- Exposure to both agile and waterfall delivery methods is preferred.
- Program or portfolio management background helps for more advanced work.
