Overview
This role puts your product management judgment to work for a client's product development efforts, with a twist: your input helps train next-generation AI systems. You'll turn messy requirements into clean documentation, draft product specifications and strategy memos, and explain roadmap prioritization using logic and evidence. No prior AI knowledge is expected, what matters is your domain expertise and how well you articulate it. The engagement is fully remote and runs on a contractor basis.
What You'll Do7
- 1Break down ambiguous product needs and turn them into clean, workable documents.
- 2Write and critique product requirement documents, specs, and strategy memos across a range of digital products.
- 3Assess roadmap decisions and explain the rationale using data and structured reasoning, not gut feel.
- 4Work through scenario-based exercises that require trade-off analysis and product discovery methods, then deliver concise written recommendations.
- 5Adapt your written output to different audiences, making sure nuanced product ideas come across without confusion.
- 6Give constructive feedback on proposals, checking that they line up with user needs, business goals, and stakeholder expectations.
- 7Offer input on metrics and experimentation insights to support ongoing product iteration.
Requirements7
- 1At least three years of hands-on product management work, with ownership of products that made it to launch.
- 2A portfolio or history of well-crafted PRDs, decision memos, or strategy documents.
- 3Ability to take scattered, complicated information and shape it into something coherent for different readers.
- 4Solid skills in roadmap prioritization, discovery processes, and keeping stakeholders aligned.
- 5Strong command of written English, especially when explaining subtle product logic.
- 6Experience at major tech companies or elite academic institutions is a plus.
- 7Comfortable collaborating with people across time zones and distributed teams.
