
Product Design Lead (Design Systems, Usability, B2C) - GB06
Overview
The Product Design Lead owns the end-to-end design vision and testing strategy for assigned app and web customer journeys, leading a POD team of 3-13 members. The role includes 1-2 direct reports and partners with business, product, and analytics teams. Work centers on Figma and AI-based prototyping tools, with A/B testing and moderated/un-moderated research validating design hypotheses. Governing the organization's design system across multiple evolving journeys and building design talent sets this role apart.
What You'll Do8
- 1Own the end-to-end design vision and strategy for assigned POD app and web journeys
- 2Lead and manage the POD's Design & Testing Members, including performance management and capability building
- 3Partner with POD Leads, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to translate product strategy into design solutions
- 4Drive moderated and unmoderated user research and translate customer pain points into design interventions
- 5Define and drive the A/B testing and experimentation roadmap for POD journeys with testing and analytics teams
- 6Champion adoption and governance of the organization's design system across the POD
- 7Guide the team on prototyping AI-based concepts, using user research and industry best practices
- 8Track and report design impact using CX metrics and behavioral data
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design (UX/UI, Interaction Design, HCI) or a related field from a recognized design institute
- 25-8 years of experience designing digital customer journeys for app and web platforms
- 3Hands-on expertise in Figma and AI-based prototyping tools
- 4Strong understanding of design systems, with experience governing adoption across teams
- 5Experience running or guiding A/B testing and moderated/un-moderated user research programs
- 6Strong grasp of customer experience (CX) metrics and behavioral data analytics
- 7Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of designers, including performance management
- 8Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to work with Product, Technology, and Business leaders
- 9Prior experience in financial services, lending, or fintech digital products is an added advantage
- 10Strong analytical and problem-solving orientation with a bias for data-backed design decisions
