What You'll Do9
- 1Oversee financial counselling and clearance operations, including charity care screening, financial assistance applications, and self-pay collections.
- 2Assess AI-generated recommendations for financial counselling, eligibility screening, and patient communications to ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
- 3Evaluate patients for Medicaid eligibility, charity care qualification, and enrollment in financial assistance programs.
- 4Guide patients through their financial obligations, payment plan options, and available assistance resources.
- 5Collaborate with social work, case management, and billing teams to resolve complex financial situations.
- 6Create and update standard operating procedures for financial clearance workflows, including pre-service screening and point-of-service collections.
- 7Track key performance indicators such as charity care conversion rates, financial assistance enrollment, and point-of-service collection performance.
- 8Ensure all financial assistance programs comply with regulations like 501(r) and EMTALA.
- 9Annotate AI outputs and provide structured feedback to improve AI training datasets.
Requirements6
- 1At least 5 years of experience in patient financial counselling, financial clearance, or self-pay revenue cycle management, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- 2In-depth knowledge of charity care programs, financial assistance eligibility, Medicaid screening, and self-pay collection processes.
- 3Familiarity with 501(r) regulatory requirements and hospital financial assistance policy compliance.
- 4Proven experience with point-of-service collections, payment plan administration, and patient financial advocacy.
- 5Proficiency in EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner, along with financial assistance management tools.
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail for evaluating financial documents and AI-generated content.
