Overview
Elion Health is seeking a seasoned A/R Follow-up Manager to help refine AI systems that automate healthcare revenue cycle tasks. You will lend your expertise in payer collections and claim status follow-up to evaluate and improve AI-generated workflows. Your hands-on feedback will directly shape tools designed to reduce days in A/R and maximize revenue recovery for healthcare providers.
What You'll Do8
- 1Direct A/R follow-up operations across commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care payers to ensure timely claim resolution.
- 2Assess AI-generated claim status inquiries, follow-up recommendations, and payer correspondence for accuracy and effectiveness.
- 3Manage claim status workflows via EDI 276/277 transactions, payer portals, and phone-based follow-ups.
- 4Prioritize A/R queues by aging bucket, payer type, and dollar value to optimize revenue recovery.
- 5Identify and resolve payment discrepancies, payer processing errors, and underpayments.
- 6Track key performance indicators such as days in A/R, aging distribution, collection rates, and write-off rates.
- 7Develop payer-specific follow-up strategies to speed claim resolution and ensure compliance with FDCPA, HIPAA, and timely filing rules.
- 8Annotate AI outputs and provide structured feedback to train AI models for better performance.
Requirements6
- 1At least 5 years of experience in A/R follow-up, payer collections, or revenue cycle operations, including 2+ years in a management role.
- 2Deep understanding of claim status follow-up workflows, EDI 276/277 transactions, and payer-specific collection processes.
- 3Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer claims processing and payment timelines.
- 4Proven ability to manage high-volume A/R queues across multiple payers with effective prioritization.
- 5Proficiency with billing systems and A/R management platforms.
- 6Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and sharp attention to detail for spotting payment errors in AI-generated content.
