Overview
Elion Health is collaborating with a leading AI research lab to refine next-generation AI systems for healthcare. We're looking for an experienced Patient Access Leader to apply their front-end revenue cycle expertise in evaluating and improving AI tools designed for patient registration, scheduling, and intake workflows. This is a remote, hourly role where you'll provide structured feedback to help shape AI that transforms healthcare operations.
What You'll Do6
- 1Oversee end-to-end patient access operations, including pre-registration, registration, scheduling, and intake coordination in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- 2Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to patient access processes, identify errors, and deliver clear, actionable feedback to improve system performance.
- 3Establish and enforce policies for registration accuracy, demographic data capture, and point-of-service collections.
- 4Track key performance indicators such as registration error rates, pre-registration completion rates, insurance verification accuracy, and front-end denial rates.
- 5Ensure clean claim submissions by addressing front-end deficiencies at the point of entry, and collaborate with billing, clinical, and IT teams to streamline workflows.
- 6Document observations, annotate AI outputs, and provide structured feedback to support training datasets for AI models.
Requirements5
- 1At least 5 years of experience in patient access, patient registration, or front-end revenue cycle management, including 2+ years in a manager or director-level role.
- 2Deep knowledge of pre-registration, insurance verification, scheduling intake, and point-of-service collections, along with a strong grasp of HIPAA, CMS regulations, and commercial/government payer requirements.
- 3Proficiency with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar EHR and registration systems.
- 4Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies in workflows, data, or AI outputs.
- 5Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
