
Network Security Engineer | $30-$90/hr Remote
Overview
This role is a unique opportunity to apply your network security expertise to train cutting-edge AI systems. You'll provide real-world knowledge that helps models learn and reason more effectively. What You'll Do7
- 1Manage and maintain the full spectrum of network security, including firewall and intrusion prevention system (IPS) setup and upkeep.
- 2Keep a constant watch on network security events, analyzing and responding to threats as they emerge.
- 3Deploy and sustain strong security controls across cloud and endpoint environments, covering various platforms.
- 4Lead incident response efforts from start to finish—investigate, contain, eradicate, and document security incidents.
- 5Partner with different teams to create and enforce security best practices that align with business goals.
- 6Mentor team members and promote a culture of security awareness and continuous learning.
- 7Make sure all operations comply with relevant security policies, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements7
- 1Solid track record in network security management, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and network segmentation.
- 2Hands-on experience monitoring and troubleshooting network security issues using advanced tools.
- 3Proven ability to implement and manage cloud and endpoint security solutions in multi-cloud or hybrid setups.
- 4Practical incident response skills—investigating, remediating, and documenting security events.
- 5Strong collaboration and mentoring abilities, with a history of sharing knowledge across technical teams.
- 6Deep understanding of security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and policy creation.
- 7Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, or similar) are highly valued.
