Overview
AfterQuery assembles the expert evaluation data that frontier AI labs use to measure how well their models handle real professional work, and this contract places mathematics teachers on the authoring side of that pipeline. You build classroom-realistic math scenarios, write out solutions step by step, and grade model output on both mathematical accuracy and the quality of its pedagogy. The sharpest part of the job is catching responses that reach the correct number through faulty reasoning. Work runs fully remote and async with a floor of 10 hours each week and no ceiling above it. Rates land between $45 and $80 an hour, set by your experience.
What You'll Do7
- Draft math teaching scenarios that mirror real classroom situations, including the misconceptions students commonly bring to them.
- Write full worked solutions that show why each step follows from the one before it.
- Review model responses for correct mathematics and for sound instructional choices.
- Call out answers that reach the right result while explaining the method badly or wrongly.
- Explain your own reasoning in plain written English so another teacher can follow and check it.
- Set your own weekly hours, staying above the 10-hour minimum while scaling up or down as your schedule allows.
- Match your authoring to the course levels you actually teach, from foundational numeracy through advanced material.

- A teaching license or certification carrying a mathematics endorsement.
- At least two years of classroom mathematics teaching.
- Command of the subject across the full span, from basic numeracy up through advanced coursework.
- Written English clear enough to make a mathematical argument easy for a peer to follow.
- Availability of 10 or more hours per week.
- Comfort working as an independent contractor on async, remote project work.
