Overview

Paradigm builds high-fidelity simulated workplaces that put AI agents through realistic marketing tasks. This contract focuses on the PR & Communications slice of that environment, where you will design the briefs, artifacts, and decision points that separate strong comms work from weak. You will draw on your own experience pitching reporters, managing embargoes, and handling corrections to create reference answers and grading criteria. AI agents will run through the scenarios you build, and you will judge their output against your own professional standard.

What You'll Do6

  • 1Create task briefs based on real PR or communications projects you have handled, noting the planted flaw and the correct judgment call a strong practitioner should make.
  • 2Specify the supporting materials for each scenario: documents, dashboards, personas, and tool states that make the simulation feel like an actual comms workflow.
  • 3Write or review the reference answer and the scoring rubric that separates a strong response from a plausible but wrong one.
  • 4Assess AI agent attempts against your own professional standard and provide clear feedback.
  • 5Build scenarios that test diagnosis from messy or conflicting data, tradeoff decisions, planning, execution, QA, triage, research, reporting, and multi-tool orchestration.
  • 6Cover the PR & Communications scope: media pitching, embargo and exclusive strategy, announcement sequencing, interview preparation, coverage evaluation, corrections, and launch communications.

Requirements5

  • 1Hands-on experience in PR or corporate communications, including direct media pitching, embargo management, and correction handling.
  • 2Comfortable operating across email, shared drives, and project tracking tools as part of a comms workflow.
  • 3Experience designing AI training environments, reinforcement learning environments, or simulated case studies (strongly preferred).
  • 4Rubric Academy or Rubric Bootcamp certification (strongly preferred).
  • 5Ability to explain in writing why a decision is right, not just what the decision is.

Who Should Apply

The candidate who thrives here has spent years doing PR and communications work directly: pitching reporters, managing embargoes, and fixing corrections under pressure. They can also step back and explain why a particular decision matters, because the core output is teaching an AI agent to make those calls. This role is less suitable for someone who only does communications strategy at a high level without touching the tools, or who expects to run campaigns rather than evaluate agents. Applications often fail at the knowledge screener, which tests specific PR and comms judgment, and candidates who submit reference answers without explicit reasoning tend to score low.

Salary Insight

The rate is $60-$100 per hour, with the exact figure depending on experience and the quality of your screener and review work. This range sits near the upper end for contract marketing and communications work, and it typically matches someone with senior-level hands-on PR experience plus exposure to AI evaluation.

Application Tip

Before you submit, make sure you can point to a specific example where you planned an embargo or handled a correction, and be ready to explain your reasoning in the screener. Vague answers that just say 'I have done PR' will not move you forward.
