Overview

Mercor is recruiting licensed US pharmacists to support an AI research lab building clinical decision-support tools. Your work centers on prior authorization workflows: you answer medication questions using patient context and labelling guidance, then judge whether AI-generated answers hold up on accuracy, safety, and completeness. Expect a steady stream of cases covering dosing, contraindications, drug interactions, and supporting documentation. The project runs on a 30 to 40 hour weekly commitment, and every review you file feeds directly into safer clinical AI systems.

What You'll Do6

  • Resolve medication questions by reading patient context, source documents, and official labelling guidance.
  • Score AI-written answers against clinical accuracy, safety, clarity, completeness, and evidence support.
  • Fix responses that miss the mark, then log structured annotations and written notes explaining the correction.
  • Flag cases where evidence runs thin, guidance conflicts, the clinical picture stays unclear, or patient safety sits at risk.
  • Apply project rubrics the same way across every case and take part in calibration and feedback sessions.
  • Cover topics such as medication indications, dosing, contraindications, drug interactions, treatment history, and prior authorization criteria.

Requirements6

  • Active US pharmacist licence with a PharmD or equivalent credential.
  • Solid grasp of medications, pharmacy workflows, and clinical decision-making built through practice.
  • Deep knowledge of drug interactions, contraindications, and prescribing guidelines.
  • Clear written communication and close attention to detail.
  • Willingness to follow structured annotation guidelines case after case.
  • Availability of 30 to 40 hours per week for the length of the project.

Who Should Apply

Licensed US pharmacists who know prior authorization and medication access work inside out, and who write with precision. Experience with Epic or Cerner, specialty pharmacy, or clinical quality review gives you an edge.

Salary Insight

This role pays $70.00 per hour. That rate sits well above typical retail pharmacist pay and matches what health systems and vendors usually offer clinicians doing structured chart review or AI evaluation work, so the project suits someone with several years of hands-on prescribing-guideline experience.

Application tip

Lead with your licence and the specifics: name your PharmD program, your active state licence, and any prior authorization, specialty pharmacy, or EHR work you have done. Add a short sample of written clinical feedback so reviewers can see how you annotate, since clear written reasoning carries as much weight here as medication knowledge.
