Legal Reviewer | $60/hr Remote
Overview
You will design QC rubrics that a non-attorney can pick up and apply, then verify processed legal documents against those rubrics. The casework covers commercial contracts, employment and HR records, regulatory filings, litigation files, financing instruments, and tax returns. You will flag defects, categorize them, and send ambiguous items to an adjudicator. This is a pure review and verification function, not a drafting or advisory role.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build grading rubrics for legal documents that a layperson can understand and apply without legal training.
- 2Compare processed legal documents against the written QC rubric to verify that all personally identifying and sensitive information is handled correctly.
- 3Record and classify any defects you find, then escalate unclear or disputed cases to the adjudication queue.
- 4Work across the full range of commercial legal document types, from contracts and corporate records to insurance policies and tax filings.
- 5Follow the current QC protocol rigorously and recommend practical updates when you see gaps.

- 1Active U.S. bar membership and at least three years of post-qualification legal experience, ideally as in-house counsel or a generalist commercial attorney.
- 2Ability to move between document types such as employment records, IP agreements, regulatory filings, and real estate paperwork without losing accuracy.
- 3Prior exposure to managed document review, e-discovery, contract management, or data privacy work is a strong plus.
- 4Demonstrated precision and consistency when handling large volumes of repetitive review tasks.
- 5Willingness to work from a written protocol and to propose edits to that protocol when you find inefficiencies.
