Inpatient Hospitalist (MD) — Clinical Documentation & AI Evaluation | $170/hr Remote
Overview
Your day-to-day inpatient work gives you insight that AI developers need. You will review actual hospital notes, including H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to judge whether AI-generated versions capture what a real hospitalist would write. You will also annotate encounter data and provide structured feedback on accuracy and clinical soundness. This remote, part-time role lets you shape documentation standards while keeping your clinical practice. If you are an MD with 2+ years post-residency and currently practice inpatient medicine in the US, this role puts your expertise to use.
What You'll Do6
- 1Review inpatient documentation such as H&Ps, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries for completeness, accuracy, and clinical validity.
- 2Compare AI-written inpatient notes against your own standards as a hospitalist to spot gaps or errors.
- 3Annotate inpatient encounter data following detailed guidelines, and mark omissions, hallucinations, or inaccuracies.
- 4Provide structured written feedback that product and engineering teams can use to refine AI outputs.
- 5Contribute to annotation guideline development, documentation standards, and edge-case definitions.
- 6Raise questions when guidelines are ambiguous and help clarify them based on your clinical knowledge.

- 1MD with specialty in hospital medicine or internal medicine.
- 2At least 2 years of experience post-residency.
- 3Current active inpatient practice.
- 4Based in the United States.
- 5Hands-on experience writing and reading H&Ps, progress notes, or discharge summaries.
- 6Familiarity with Epic (preferred).
- 7Prior experience in AI/ML annotation or model evaluation with strong performance (preferred).
- 85+ years post-residency (preferred).
