Overview
Terac runs a paid research study on how automated workflows handle equipment diagnostics and sensor data in real industrial settings. You will bring your own field experience to the table and test those workflows against real diagnostic examples. The session happens over video, so you share your screen and talk through your reasoning as you go. Engineers from manufacturing, heavy machinery, and energy backgrounds all fit the profile they need.
What You'll Do7
- Examine sample sets of industrial sensor readings alongside the diagnostic outputs generated from them
- Explain the steps you follow when judging the health of a piece of equipment
- Test automated evaluation workflows against your own expert read of the same data
- Flag cases where a workflow reaches a wrong or misleading conclusion
- Name the gaps and blind spots you spot in current diagnostic logic
- Give technical feedback the team can use to sharpen its evaluation methods
- Screen-share during the video call to illustrate specific points with the data
Requirements5
- Working experience in industrial engineering, equipment maintenance, or reliability
- Direct practice with sensor data analysis and diagnosing equipment faults
- Ability to explain technical workflows and automated evaluation systems to others
- Comfort with remote video sessions and sharing your screen while you talk
- Background in an industrial sector such as manufacturing, heavy machinery, or energy
Who Should Apply
Industrial engineers, equipment technicians, and reliability specialists who have diagnosed real machinery from sensor data. You should feel at ease critiquing automated maintenance or diagnostic workflows and explaining where they fall short.
Salary Insight
The listing does not post a rate, so pay comes up during the screening conversation. Research sessions of this kind usually compensate subject-matter experts by the hour at levels tied to their years of hands-on diagnostic work.
