Overview
Terac runs a paid research study on how hardware engineers handle modern description workflows and RTL implementation. The session happens as a remote interview, and you walk the interviewer through your own design process while sharing your screen. You react to specific automated evaluation scenarios and talk through how you approach design verification in complex systems. Findings from the study feed straight into better tooling and methodologies for hardware development.
What You'll Do6
- Walk the interviewer through how you implement RTL and describe hardware
- Review specific automated evaluation scenarios and explain your reaction to each one
- Share your screen to show how you move through hardware description workflows in practice
- Recall a recent complex hardware verification challenge and lay out how you tackled it
- Give feedback on the workflows you rely on today
- Point out where current verification tools fall short
Requirements6
- Professional experience in hardware engineering or RTL design
- Hands-on background with a hardware description language such as Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog
- Working knowledge of automated evaluation frameworks
- Familiarity with verification workflows
- Able to discuss technical design choices in a remote interview
- Willing to demonstrate your hardware description workflow by sharing your screen
Who Should Apply
ASIC designers, FPGA engineers, hardware verification specialists, and SoC architects with hands-on HDL experience fit this study best. You should be ready to talk through real design decisions and the verification challenges you have run into.
Salary Insight
Terac describes the work as a paid study, yet the listing carries no rate, so expect the compensation details during the interview or in follow-up notes. Most expert interview studies of this kind pay by the session, with the amount set by session length and specialization.
