Overview
micro1 seeks Human Intelligence Collectors to apply elicitation and investigative questioning skills on a specialized customer project. Your work will help train next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world input. No prior AI experience is needed; domain knowledge in complex interviewing or intelligence collection is what matters. You will document your reasoning and analysis for both technical and non-specialist audiences.
What You'll Do7
- Conduct or evaluate structured elicitation and interview sessions to gather accurate information from diverse subjects.
- Build rapport with participants to foster open communication without pressure or coercion.
- Read tone, pacing, and nonverbal cues in real time and adjust questioning strategies as needed.
- Assess the consistency, reliability, and evasiveness of responses, and provide confidence ratings for each interaction.
- Identify and note emotional and motivational factors that shape participants' answers.
- Document your analytical reasoning in a clear, traceable way to support downstream review and learning.
- Score or annotate sessions using a detailed rubric while maintaining objectivity and consistency across cases.
Requirements7
- 3–5+ years of experience in professional interviewing, intelligence elicitation, or investigative questioning (e.g., military HUMINT, law-enforcement interviewing, skilled negotiation).
- Training in recognized interviewing methods such as the PEACE model, cognitive interviewing, or similar frameworks.
- Expertise in interpreting paralinguistic and nonverbal cues (tone, pacing, hesitation, gestures) in real time.
- Proven ability to justify analytical conclusions in writing, not just by intuition.
- Exceptional written English skills with a focus on clarity, precision, and defensibility.
- Experience working with diverse populations or through interpreters.
- Familiarity with data annotation, AI model evaluation, or after-action/assessment report writing.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in interviewing or intelligence collection, formal training in methods like PEACE or cognitive interviewing, and a knack for reading nonverbal cues. You can explain your analytical reasoning in clear, precise writing and are comfortable working with diverse populations or interpreters.
